Front-end Web Developer

About You:
You’re great at making things on the web that people interact with. You are an expert in Javascript, and can write semantically beautiful html and css. You are great at taking visual designs and breathing life into them. You might even have some familiarity with Python and Django. We’re not as interested as much in your formal training as we are in the beautiful front-end code you’ve created, your personality, and your passion for creating outstanding user experiences. You should be comfortable working independently in a startup environment.

It might be a match if you’re an expert with:
  • Javascript (and jQuery)
  • Cross browser compatibility and web standards
  • CSS
  • HTML

Bonus points if you have:
  • Familiarity with Python and Django
  • Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
  • Visual and UI design skills
  • Developed for mobile
  • Worked on a crowdsourcing service or app before

Platform Engineer

Responsibilities:
  • Scaling MobileWorks Platform as it becomes THE place where work is done online
  • Supporting MobileWorks developers as they make world-class crowd applications
  • Building multiple verticals on top of MobileWorks platform

Requirements
  • Exceptional coding skills, especially in Python
  • Expertise in Django is preferred
  • Expert knowledge of data structures and databases
  • Experience in designing and implementing developer facing platform is desirable
  • Crowdsourcing experience is a big plus (but not necessary)
  • Javascript experience is a plus (but not necessary)
  • Self directed, self motivated, and at home in a very fast-paced environment

Customer Operations Manager

About You:
We take complex business tasks from companies and crowdsource them to a global pool of international workers. Your role will be the glue between companies and the crowd, helping us communicate with both sides and make sure work gets done correctly. It’s a combination of art, science and customer savvy: how can we get work done effectively with crowds? How can we adapt the crowd to meet customer needs? How can we best interface with workers? And how can we keep customers the happiest?

It might be a match if you’re:
  • Fun, friendly, and passionate about helping companies solve problems with a workforce
  • Curious about how crowds think and operate
  • Capable of unfailing patience and understanding with a team of international workers
  • Unafraid of mastering new interfaces and technology
  • A voracious wildebeest of customer service

  • Someone who can get things done independently

Marketing Intern (spring or summer ’12)

About You:
You’ll help us get the word out about our next-generation crowdsourcing service, creating effective and results-focused social media and marketing campaigns. You’re super savvy about the web and have your pulse on the technology world. You can write compelling and friendly copy and are willing to dive into our analytics data and figure out what’s working and what’s not. You will dive into competitive and market analyses, and help us refine our messaging and positioning.

It might be a match if have strong, demonstrable experience with:
  • Are a whiz at creating social media and marketing campaigns, or are willing to learn
  • Have a strong interest in product marketing, direct marketing, marketing management or consulting
  • Have strong writing skills (and can write in a friendly, easy-to-understand tone)
  • Have excellent analytical skills

Bonus points if you have:
  • Some technical skills (know some html, maybe even have dabbled in some code)
  • Have some previous marketing experience or are currently enrolled in a BS/BA in marketing, business administration, journalism, or related field
  • Have experience with Google AdWords and Google Analytics
